Hi! I'm Naomi. It is my passion to help you reconnect and reclaim your health. This means balancing your hormones, immune system, detoxification pathways, digestion, energy production, nervous system, and oxidative stress levels.
Seven years ago I turned over the wrong way one night, I slipped a disc that bulged onto my S1 nerve. Hello, sciatic pain! While months of very helpful physical therapy and acupuncture provided some relief, it became clear I needed to have back surgery. As I recovered I realized I needed to change how I was doing things. I cleaned up my dietary choices, personal care, and cleaning products. Things got better and Keep it Clean Naomi was born!
But after a few years of feeling good and then two years of being home, I started to feel off. You know that feeling? I couldn't figure it out. I was still eating healthy and riding my trusty Peloton, but the weight was creeping up, my energy was slipping and I was starting to get brain fog. I was a little embarrassed because I was a Certified Health Coach and how could I coach my clients if what I was telling them to do wasn't even working for me?!
I decided to invest in my health and my practice and became an FDN Practitioner. The addition of functional lab testing has been a game changer. Looking at the body and how it's operating can give many insights that I never had before. Many symptoms overlap so you could be doing something that is throwing off the balance in another area furthering the dysfunction. You start to get symptoms and just know something is off. I know exactly what you mean because I was there. I am proud that I've invested in my practice so I can be a better practitioner for you!

I'm so happy you are here! These are the areas that I look at with the functional labs along with your medical and lifestyle history. It's a very nuanced approach as I put together the pieces to your health puzzle.
Hormones are chemical messengers in your body and balancing them is vital to your overall health. Here we look at cortisol, DHEA, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and melatonin. How is your body making and distributing them? Imbalances and deficiencies can reveal hidden dysfunction that cascades into other areas.
Let's take a look at your immune system which begins in the gut. Does yours neutralize threats well? Can it distinguish from friend or foe? How much is inflammation playing a part in your health? What are your current and previous stress levels doing to your health?
The body detoxifies on its own but when those pathways are clogged then issues arise. What is the toxic burden that you carry? Toxic load from products we use and dietary choices can impact how our body's ability to detoxify. Taking a deeper look into what is going with how you detoxify adds to your overall health picture.
After you eat, you should feel an overall sense of well-being, feel satiated, and not hungry for several hours. Looking at how you break down food and absorb nutrients as well as the gut microbiome as a whole is a priority here. Good and bad bacteria, pathogens, worms, gut infections, overgrowths, parasites, and digestion markers are handled here.
How does your body handle energy? Can you meet the internal and external demands of the day? We get lots of information on how your body handles and uses energy with various markers.
Stress can manifest in many ways and has a remarkable impact on our health. How well do you navigate between sympathetic (fight/flight) and parasympathetic (rest/digest)? We need a balance of both. Let's see where you are!
